FAQ
Do I even need to study algorithms and data structures?
Short answer? Yes. You really ought to understand algorithmic design, data structures and relevent tradeoffs. But, you don't need to memorize them. I expect any dev I hire to be able to read CS papers and implement them and reason about runtime and space performance at the very least. My beef is with hiring practices which basically do what they do in academia: we'll test you on what's easy to test, not on what measures your aptitude for programming or ability to create, ship and maintain complex software systems.
Is it really invisible during screen sharing?
We aim for and it really should be! That said, people and technology adjust and change: don't trust - verify. As a dumb but effective stopgap you can choose your own splash screen to gauge interviewer's reaction if they see it - minor detail but may save you embarassment.
How do I complain or get support?

Will this get me in trouble during interviews?
Well, I mean. Ehm. You're definitely in the gray here, like a fairly dark shade of gray. You do you, ok. We just sell you a shovel.
What programming languages are supported?
All major languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, Go, and more. Limit may really be due to LLM capabilities.
Do I need my own API keys? Will you see them?
Yes, you'll need to provide your own API keys for the AI providers you want to use, but to the App itself. The app talks to LLM providers not to us nor through us. Overleet is a desktop app, like the ones in the 90s and 00s of the last century. Quaint, I know.
What LLM provider can I use?
Atm Overleet uses OpenAI as its vision LLM, so really just add some money to OpenAI and use them. We already support DeepSeek for solution generation and we'll add Anthropic and other usual suspects soon. Stay tuned.
